Why I dislike the ways that the US Approaches Mental-Health care

As someone who, has both several cognative and developmental short falls. I use the wording at the end of the last sentence because I don’t like the term disabilities. I’ve been throug our nations darn near crippled mental health care system, between the damage that the Reagan administration did back in the 1980s and further damage done by other presidential administrations. I still remain in a positive frame of mind about the significant amounts of both grass roots and ballot measures we may yet have a chance however small to undo the damage done by several presidential administrations over the past nearly 50 years since the former president Ronald Reagen was first sworn into office in 1981.

Now don’t get your nicker in a bunch as the views I’m sharing in the post are strictly my own and I’m well aware that everyone is free to their own views and beliefs. I’ve spent several cycles going through 72 Hr assessment (acute care) behavioral health wards and very expensive group homes and private pay drub, eating disorder and alcohol addiction treatment centers. This isn’t living it’s essentially being a pawn in a game played by an ill meaning ex-boyfriend of mine.
